Part 1: Research philosophy, project design, methodology. A three-day, residential workshop (led by Parsons, USFD, based on the long-running and highly successful Windsor Workshop of the British Society for Geomorphology) for all ESRs to address issues of philosophy of science, research ethics and project design. The workshop will also act as a team-building exercise for all the ESRs employed by the Training Network though participation in project-design exercises, and through group presentations of their own project that will inform all ESRs of the scope of individual projects to be undertaken within the Training Network, thereby building synergy across the projects.
Part 2: Interdisciplinary working and communication. A two-day residential workshop (led by Bracken, UDur) that aims to explore interdisciplinarity as a team, including the whole research team involved in i-CONN. The workshop will be based around the differences
